Opening Reception, Everyday Earring Exhibition October 21, 2016 5-9pm.

From October 21 to November 2, 2016 EatMetal Jewelry Art Gallery presents an exhibition that focuses on art objects and jewelry that discuss the idea of veryday body through the adornment of an earring. It allows the audience to engage by viewing, interpreting, and finding their everyday earring. Is it bold, quiet, small, tall, wild, whimsy, fantasy or fabulous ??? The exhibition showcases the work of 16 artists. Art Jewelers who create Everyday Earrings.

This diverse group of artist's investigations makes up a cohesive show that expresses everyday wearable art in unique, one of kind thought process. To discuss a few, Alison Antelman works are inspired by the vitality of a cityscape, Elisabeth Calas tension and explores the connection between forms by using a combination of organic and abstracted architectural silhouettes. Drew Curtright uses electro-etching process to achieve Victorian-inspired patterns. And Hillarey Dees explores encased natural environments that relate to empty pods or abandoned nests. The exhibition also features Jessica Armstrong, Elizabeth Borsetti, Genevieve Flynn, Maricha Genovese, Anneliese Hauptstein, Mana Hewitt, Maria High, Karen Kriegal, Maia Leppo, Pellicciotto Jane, Amanda Stumpf and Erin Turner.
